21st Century Learning
While at MIT, students learn the skills required for success in today’s demanding world, including critical thinking, complex problem solving, and productive collaboration among peers and professionals in the community and in business settings.
Blended Learning Models and Digital Learning
MIT blends an online digital content component with traditional face-to-face classroom instruction. We have configured our instructional approach and learning spaces to maximize the benefits of combining digital content and instructional management software with teacher and student collaboration.
Students gain essential digital literacy skills through utilization of technology in the classroom and in lab settings.
Co-Curricular Experiences
Working in tandem with businesses in our community, we develop partnerships providing co-curricular opportunities for MIT students to enrich and extend learning while practicing teamwork beyond the classroom setting. When students recognize how their learning connects to real-world scenarios, they become increasingly motivated.
Enrichment Activities
MIT aligns its enrichment activities, including clubs and events, with the interests of our students to provide more academic, sporting, and community service opportunities and to expand the options offered by the regular curriculum. We convey information about enrichment activities to students throughout the school year.
Advisory and Character Counts
Students receive guidance about academic decisions and academic monitoring. We believe that meaningful service helps young people develop positive character traits. Our advisory committee aids students in identifying and undertaking community service opportunities both within and outside the school.
Internships, Seminars, and Workshops
The MIT workshop and seminar program raises awareness of and emphasizes STEM²-related career fields. MIT will expand opportunities through college partnerships, offering technology and engineering internships to create learning experiences and a competitive advantage in preparing for and accessing post-secondary opportunities.
We offer exciting internship opportunities for our students:
Experienced and Motivated Staff
Our team of educators is eager to share their real-world experience and first-hand knowledge with MIT students. We know the future is in their hands, and we are honored to play a role in shaping it.
